F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) is a web application firewall that secures web applications and protects them from vulnerabilities. ASM creates robust security policies that protect web applications from targeted application layer threats, such as buffer overflows, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, parameter tampering, cookie poisoning, web scraping, and others, by allowing only valid application transactions. 

Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR customers using F5 BIG-IP ASM can strengthen their defenses against advanced threats. The integration sends firewall data to the Sophos Central platform, which is then filtered, cleaned, correlated, and in some cases, escalated for investigation by analysts.
